Kyle Carraro, an attorney who regularly works with freelancers and small business owners, will be giving a presentation on who the Freelance Isn’t Free Act applies to, how it enhances freelancers’ ability to take action against clients for nonpayment and other improper practices, and strategies for collecting on unpaid invoices. Conversely, if you hire freelancers as part of your business, Kyle will also address best practices for ensuring you are in compliance with the law. There will be time for Q+A, and information provided on larger labor trends in the industry.
